Have you ever thought about greening your refrigerator? Well here are some tips to help you do so.

Tip #1: Buy an energy star refrigerator. Energy star appliances traditionally use 40% less energy.

Tip#2: Keep your fridge full. Full refrigerators help maintain their temperature thus using less energy.

Tip #3: Maintain your refrigerator. Make sure to maintain your refrigerator so it runs smoothly and more efficiently. Clean up coils and make sure your doors seal.

Tip #4: Recycle your old refrigerator. Donate it or pass it down to somebody else but make sure that when you recycle it, you recycle responsibly. Recycling appliances is very important because it helps to keep harmful chemicals out of our environment. And of course, recycling helps to save energy.
