joint readyness training exercise
this live fire exercise was to show case the millitary might of 82nd Airborne Div. My platoon was chosen to be the assaulting element on the ground. With helicopter air support and artillery we assaulted an enemy bunker. I was on the firing line to provide suppressive fire. Spc Tibbetts (now seargant) taped his NVG to my camera to get the footage.

101st has not been AIRBORNE since WW2, this is 82nd. The onloy units that jump if my memory serves me right from when I was at Campbell were sf, LRSD and their detachments. 82nd - Americas Guard of Honor.. damn I miss these days I ETSd back in 2001 after 10 yrs active due to a blown out knee

The most important thing when you are in a suppressive fire is keep the cedence of fire. thats why US soldier use the M-16, small bullet, to carrie more, light weight and an amazing cadence of fire.
