Code Geass AMV-A Geass Masquerade

Here it is at last! A new AMV (see? I promised I wouldn't take another 9 months this time)! And I do think I might have outdone my last one.

I spent 3 weeks sifting through movie clips--episodes and textless openings--and taking detailed notes in preparation...and then it's taken me about 24 hours over a 3 day period to actually put it together. And as my dear friend CrazyMonkey0307 mentioned, I even worked on this when we were on vacation! But voila!

The theme of this AMV, as is stated quite clearly (I hope) in the beginning: deception. All the characters in Code Geass wear, whether figuratively or literally, a mask. The anime is filled with lies: some well meaning, others not so much. But the series is also about war, and didn't Sun Tzu once say that war is deception?

The point of this AMV is to illustrate how the characters in Code Geass are consumed by their lies. In the beginning they start to weave the web of deceit and by the end of the AMV their lies destroy them.

I love your amv style, you keep the beat, your clips are high quality and fitting with the lyrics and you use minimal effects. I've never cared for amv's filled with flashy, over used effects, you have a great deal of talent *subscribe* =D

This is the single best AMV I've ever seen, and I've seen thousands over the years. I don't know why it hasn't gotten more views. I commend you for your hard work. And I adore how you relied on the scene choice and editing together of said scenes to create the whole feel and look to this. I'm so tired of the flashy, overused style of the other ones. This is just wonderful. You're a master creator.
