@DreadnaughtyIsMyName Now come on, you know all Taylor,Collings, and a lot of Santa Cruz owners just to mention a few. Will tell you that all Martins are MASSED PRODUCED, and are junk. Collings is the most over priced guitar. Santa Cruz is a great guitar, but over priced. Taylor is the most massed produced piece of junk ever made. Martin is making great guitars still today. All guitars are made with machinery one way or the other. I have a HD-28 & HD -16R LSH they are great guitars. Reality
@bluegrasssingingman You are right, handmade instruments are some of the worst but definitely some of the best. The best Martin I have played in years was a D-28 Authentic and you bet your ass it's handmade. I like my Bourgeois guitars, not all. I don't like Taylor's but I don't search videos of them and post LOL on peoples posts who do because that's mean spirited.
"Martin ain't made a decent guitar since 1955! They just haven't. That's Reality" - Tony Rice, Still Inside
@DreadnaughtyIsMyName People can believe all the hype about custom hand made all they want. Which in the end means inconsistency in quality and sound.
@DreadnaughtyIsMyName Bourgeois sounds to much like a Gibson and Taylor. Muddy,Tinny, and Distorted. I'd never choose one over my Martins,or my Yairi Dy84. They have a deep well balance clean sound. With a lot of sustain. When I hit my strings. I want to hear it pop and drive. Your right a matter of taste. I also want my moneys worth. Bourgeois is like Collings way over priced. Martin is the best flat picking guitar still today. Martin is more consistently made today then in the past.
@bluegrasssingingman You are right, it isn't in the same class but most would say it's in a higher one! There is a reason BKs are twice the price. They have twice the cut when flatpicking leads. A D28 simply cannot deliver the volume for leads the BK does. Bryan Sutton named it, take it up with him. Disclaimer, BK = not for strummers, unbelievable when fingerpicked and flatpicked

Fantastic playing! maybe it's the recording setup but I've heard OM's with better balance and projection.
