California's age of consent in 1800 was 10...so it was not increased to 10 like he said.
Those men that married 10 year olds then were not prophets...they were dirty old men

Not true that the age of consent was 6 prior to 1886. the laws of most states set the age of consent at ten or twelve. Women reformers and social purists initiated a campaign in 1885 to petition legislators to raise the legal age of consent to at least sixteen in all states in the nation,.
