How to build a 2 tier dropdown css menu using Dreamweaver CS5, xhtml and css, with hover effect.
This is an introduction to a tutorial on a Dreamweaver CS5 production on how to build a 2 tier dropdown css styles menu system for a website.
In this introduction I demonstrate the completed two tier css dropdown menu with its hover effects.
We will build the menu using div's, unordered lists, and list items with classes. We will then style the menu using css styling.
We will also build a very basic web page using div's, with id's and also style it using css styling.
I will also lay out each dropdown menu unordered lists to demonstrate the adaptability of the menu.
You can use whatever colour scheme you prefer for your menu.
To build the page you will require a text editor such as Dreamweaver or Notepad ++:
1. You will learn how to lay out a very basic web page using XHTML Mark-up language.
2. You will also be working with cascading style sheets to create the styling for the Mark-up language.
A web page can have its HTML Mark-up styled directly or on the same page in the head section with-in style tags or it can be styled using cascading style sheets as we will use for this tutorial.
If you just want to build a single tier dropdown menu then check out Jame at DreamWeaverTutorial by clicking the link below: -
