When I first read about the concept of PRT in a magazine, I thought it was pure common sense. I wondered why we didn't have this now, and why they hadn't built it 100 years ago. Since then I've discovered that politicians and government agency refuse to even consider PRT. They claim it's infeasible but amusement parks have had monorail and roller coaster technology for decades. PRT is much simpler than that. The truth is that they want to avoid competing with the auto, gas, and oil industries.
Perhaps, the personal e-car is a better way to prevent the ills of passenger disrespect. Of course, the track would have to be stronger (since the pods would have to carry their own battery for off rail use) and places would have to accommodate traditional parking
This is terrible- Masdar uses it better

@mountainash simple solution is to have two tracks, on clockwise one counter

Doesn't seem that smart if you wanted to go "back" 1 or 2 stops, you have to go round the whole network to get there - that's not fast or economical.
