@gwomp66 He is a buckskin. I missed out Golden buckskin in my comment just a second ago. Read my comment it explains everything. I know almost everything about mustangs and only buckskin and bay mustangs have dorsal stripes, it all depends on colour not breed. My friend has a copper buckskin quarter horse who is so dark it is hard to tell in certain lights that she is buckskin.

Spirit is a buckskin. Spirit was based off a Kiger Mustang if you google real life spirit he will come up he has done expos all over America. Kiger mustangs can only be buckskin in colour due to the herds that roam the Kiger Valley. Buckskins can have Dorsal Stripes and Zebra Markings, but not face masks or darker tones. You can get buttermilk, dark, copper and cream buckskins. Duns can have zebra markings, face masks, dorsal strips, darker tones, or none of them! He is 100% Buckskin
