I usually listen to death metal, grindcore, hardcore punk... and the next moment I may be listening to Chet Baker, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Charles Mingus, Eric Dolphy, Pat Metheny... same with electronica, or rap, or whatever. If it's good music, it's good music, and Chet is as a big inspiration for me as is a band called Abominable Putridity. I simply love music.

over the years Chet Baker was my biggest secret being with kids who listen to punk rock and hardcore... i was 11 back in 1989 when i discovered the treasure of Mr Baker's work, and since then his music opened up the great avenue of jazz and blue note for me. to me, his the Elvis of Jazz.
