Part six. This part deals mostly with processing green screen footage, but also includes a segment on some good codecs to use for encoding footage to import into After Effects.

  • i think u like aime,well i like anime too.

  • Yes, I do like anime no matter which way it's spelled.

I also enjoy randomly injecting it into my otherwise anime-free tutorials.

  • So after effects can't take avi format ?OR AVI format is to big so it might lag ?

  • "avi" is just a wrapper for video. It's not a codec itself. Many different kinds of video can be put into .avi files, but whether the video can be opened up in After Effects depends on what type of codec is used to encode the video.

If the video is too big/long you may end up with laggy video.

  • That is the part i need. How to take the side of the the video to match the rest of the green screen. I will be waiting for part 7

    Have a great day now.

  • Hello. Thanks for the comments.

This keeps happening; I get lazy and don't do any more parts until somebody says something. So thanks to you two more segments have been made, but they aren't edited or converted yet. I should have them up in a few days. Thanks for giving me a push!

  • Great Tutorials.

  • yea i was wondering how you were going to pull the key because of all the shadows but coolio i usually use keylight but it doesn't work well with shadows

  • Thanks! It's not perfect, but it works well for difficult footage like I'm (always) working with.

  • wow different way of keying nice job.
