+Headphones are recommended for this video.

Filmed in one continuous shot on July 24, 2009 at the Whitney Museum of American Art. All visual effects were done in the camera, as I was shooting.

*Technical note: The Green Bullet microphone is legendary; it was popular in the 1950's among blues harmonica players. Here, it cracks under high frequencies, adding something special to Jeremy's great falsetto.

Brooklyn's Woods bring their cowboy swagger to the chic facade of the upper west side, performing as a part of the "Dan Graham: Beyond" live music series. This is a new song.

  • If you took the Shins and the edge of of Neil Young and watered it down this is the result. I had no idea this was possible and it offends me as a music fan.

  • Your photographic instincts in these Woods videos are spot-on every time. I mean, truly, not one zoom, pan, drag, tilt, focal shift, or shake is ineffective. Keep up the good work.

  • interesting.

  • singin into such high impedance

  • FWIW- The Whitney Museum is currently on the chic upper east side (and is soon headed downtown to a new chic(and expensive) facade on the High Line).

  • Brilliant camera work! what camera is it?

  • @yrureadingthisname I was thinking Velvet Underground based on the instrumentation. Vocals-wise, definitely Neil

  • This guy sounds like Kermit, but looks more like one of the Muppet-monsters. Quite confusing, but very enjoyable still. Good song. Great video.

  • I really like the camera work.

  • @Havenscope I think the comparison is made just because they both like to sing in similar octaves and use alot of falsetto. If you listen to songs like Mellow My Mind or The Loner by Neil Young you'll get the idea
