Of course it has a connection. What do you think DMGT stands for - DAILY MAIL and General Trust. And actually DMGT own AND (Associated Northcliffe Digital) which is the online consumer division of the Daily Mail and have a portfolio which includes FAP, Primelocation etc etc.
As for being sour about the Mail, not at all but I like like most others cannot stand the paper or its view - so I suppose yes they have done something to annoy me. Do you work for them and need to defend????

No, actually Assosciated Newspapers, who are part of DMGT, own The Mail and Find a Property amongst others. The Mail has absolutely no connection with Find a Property, one's a news paper the other's a property website, their function and audiences are completely different. Anyway, why are you so sour about the Mail? They done something to annoy you?

As for the strapline, how about

Um. Not sure about the talking ducks. Interesting new strapline though. I've come up with a few of my own:
FindaProperty. Seriously, just find a ducking property.
FindaProperty. Where brand dignity goes flying out the door.
