@Bigbillpipps Really? Cool. May I ask whether that was at Stanford or UCLA?

I am Christian. It is so sad for me that we are paying attention to this guy who has not read the Bible. I have not read the Bible completely, but in my 11 years as a Christian, I have found great answers about, art, science, finances, and technology. Did you know that the Bible mentions that the earth is rounded, It's been there more than 2000 years ago. Wonder what Christopher Colombus would say if he ever found out. Sam, I invite you to read it.

@gx240 I hope you meet a genuine Christian who is the complete opposite of all that you describe - one who is free (from addiction, depression, and the consequences of destructive living) and who gives of himself and his resources. That is the life Christ lived, and that is the life Christians SHOULD live. I am sorry for the numerous bad examples that have led you to assume this. Hopefully meeting such a person would lead you to believe that their intentions and the disciples were pure.

@a3th3r a better, more intelligent world does not threaten opposing views but thinks through them critically.

@bradjrhenstrom Yes, his disciples really would have done all that. By creating the Jesus myth, if indeed they did, they were able to set themselves up at the top of the greatest conjob in human history. Christianity is a way for the manipulative and cunning to rob and control the credulous, nothing more.

@bradjrhenstrom please commit suicide and make the world a better, more intelligent place.

Sam Harris was a classmate of mine, he's actually (or at least was) quite spiritual, in the non-traditional sense.

hmmm . . .
4) An Empty Tomb - WHERE IS this Jesus of Nazareth?!
Would his disciples really overpower Roman guards, steal his body, hide it & then pretend a lie 4 the rest of their lives paying the price of being thrown out of the synagogue, ridiculed, imprisoned, tortured & ultimately executed . . . all 4 a lie?!?
The Jews had nothing to gain by taking his body, in fact a produced body would've quelled any notion that Jesus was devine.
The Romans had nothing to gain either, Cesar was King not Jesus.
