@hordichuck Infantry can apply to go on the commando course, to become the SAS, to leave the army and join the SiS, etc. Its the person that matters and normal infantry are just as tough when it comes right down to it. How many VC's did the RM's win in Iraq? So get off your high horse and remember they risk their lives just as often as you do fighting for the same cause. Your training IS better and to a higher standard, but that doesn't make YOU better than them.

That looks like fun. I was in the US marines and it was infrequent that they would allow us to shoot a weapon. instead they made us wash our underpants everyday, because the CO didnt like marines to have fishy undies.

It amazes me how many people moan about levels of training. If it were easy and everyone could do it everone would be at the same level. It's not and some are better than others.

The armed forces of every nation has elites and less elites, willy waving will get you no-where. Remember it's sometimes the quality not the quantity that counts.

If the SAS went against paras or if the commandos went against the RAF reg it wouldn't mean anything. They are trained and specialised for seperate things.

@hordichuck SRR... Mate what's your deal? The marines I've met aren't stuck up enough to talk about how "Piece of piss" any of the training is, they all appreciate it's hard work. Come on man, I've never done the commando course so I don't know, but I appreciate it's gonna be a lot of hard work and I'm willing to wager harder than P-Coy as it's not just about fitness like P-Coy, but saying it's easy is just a stuck up, shit thing to say as it's /clearly/ not easy or all would do it.
