HELLO, FELLOW GAME HEADZ!!! I'm back again with more tension, fast action, and fun, which means yet another installment of the great Pyramid! This episode is from the week of 6/12/78-6/16/78, and is from the show's days in the Big Apple. Celebrity guests are Sandy Duncan (from the miniseries Roots, and later, NBC's The Hogan Family), and the Poet Laureate of Television himself, Nipsey Russell (from Car 54, Where Are You?, and The Dean Martin Show and roasts). By the way, did anyone else notice there was no opening poem by Nipsey? WTF, man?!

  • Thats Sandy Duncan From The Hogans

  • (Singing): "...in the heart of every family, there's a love that's waiting there for yooooou... through the yeeeeeeears...: LOVED The Hogan Family! :-)

  • Which Pyramid episode did Sandy Duncan rip out the Winners Circle straps after a win?

  • I think that happened in 1975 or so, while the network version was still The $10,000 Pyramid. :)

  • My grandfather has the $20000 Pyramid

Premire from 1976 on tape somewhere, i remeber watching it once.

  • I believe this was the earliest aired episode of the $20K Pyramid. According to GSN themselves, 260 episodes of this version, from 1978-1980, are known to exist.

  • @meyerj75 o my goodness, o ok yea thanks very much.

  • @Ddog2k3 There is still a week's worth of episodes from 1977 featuring William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy. Though the master copies have been destroyed, they been preserved thanks to home video recording. A couple can still be found here as well including Shatner's infamous chair throwing outburst, a must see!

  • @sweiland75 It was the '70s, bro... DISCO was popular, for cryin' out loud... hehe.

  • @sweiland75 Hey, hey, hey! Leave da '70s Pyramid set alone! Lol...

  • Alisa Calato 1/15

  • RIP Nipsey Russell.

  • Very nice, BTW I watched an episode of the New Scooby Doo Movies a couple of days ago on Boomerang where Sandy Duncan was a guest voice.
