This video give basic information about tools, concepts, products, ect as an introduction to planning to learn how to make Silver Soldered Filigree Jewelry. If this subject appeals to you, I strongly suggest that you get a book titled, "Silver Threads", by Jeanne Rhodes-Moen. Everything I know, I got from her book and am eternally grateful to her for sharing this wonderful experience. The book is available for a good value at Amazon.com! Video part 2 will be posted within the next 24 hours!
Thanks. I'll watch this forum. I can get a kiln...What temp do I need to get to for the silver clay?

@bgbraker temps for firing metal clays are included on the packaging. There are also a lot of books on the subject of creating with metal clay. If you are planning to get into this, a good reference book will be a great idea!

Hi, a different question. I engrave granite. I'd like to fill the engraving with silver. Any advice?
bgbraker 2 years ago
I've never tried firing granite in a kiln, but it might be possible to fill your engravings with precious metal silver clay (Fine Silver) and sinter it in place in a kiln?! I'm not sure! I've not had this question before. Do you have a kiln? I'll put this out to a couple of forums and see what experiences others have had with this!

Who buy this "jewelry"?
diamencik1 2 years ago
I do not understand this question. People buy my jewelry, but I do not share the names of my clients. Some of this style of jewelry I wear myself. It's very time consuming and I don't make a lot of it! Thanks for stopping by!
