Traffic was at a standstill across central and northern China when heavy fog rolled in on Tuesday. Low visibility forced highways and major roads to shut down.
Authorities in China's eastern Shandong Province issued an alert warning drivers to avoid long distance driving.
The fog brought down visibility to as low as 32 feet.
Long distance buses were cancelled and some flights have been delayed.
The fog came last week after snowfall had covered much of the region.
The fog is due to clear in parts of southern and central China, but would continue to creep into northern regions for the next few days.
they're accustomed to having thick clouds of pollution obscuring their view, so i dont see what's the problem here.
