  • Sorry iv gone a bit "reply" crazy now. Just to ask tho, does your ram n ram cover get mega hot then the computer just switches itself off when your making her do summat strennuous for too long? Sometimes pisses me off if i aint saved what im doing.

  • I put GTA vice city on her lol. She were running at about 1 frame per minute, no joke. On the plus side, she runs any ps1 game i want with the epsxe emulator, tho you have to have all the video settings on lowest for gran turismo 2.

  • I have 512mb of ram, it cost me over £70 lol n hardly made a difference to the 256mb i had before. I did find Chrome to be the best browser although of recent, IE8 has been excellent on her. I think the downfall is the graphics card memory( a measly 8mb). I cant keep track of the times iv searched google for some way of sharing the ram with the graphics card for more memory, even the latest BIOS doesnt have the option to do it(A14).

  • Yeah, mines under the sofa collecting dust now. I purchased a Samsung NC10 netbook just for summat a bit more useful. Im quite happy with it, it can run win7 mint tho im sticking to xp now. Is there anything i could do to my CPTV to upgrade it? would a pentium 3 processor fit in the board or could i get a P3 motherboard cheap enough that would fit? I really did love that laptop, it just wasnt practical, couldnt play any game or even run youtube vids.

  • Thats probably as yours will be a pentium 3 being 650 mhz i think. Mines only a pentium 2 466mhz, that would make a huge difference even though it doesnt sound much different on paper.

  • Oh yeah, i installed the Windows 7 RC last week for a laugh. ROFL, she nearly packed up n went, i swear, slow as fuck. My IBM thinkpad is running the win 7 great tho even tho its below system reuirements. You can download it free from microsoft tho it only works till august 2009.

  • I have a cptv 466mhz, 512MB RAM, ATI 8MB graphics. T'is a good workhorse, i recomend installing either Windows 2k or XP service pack 2 for optimum performance, i find SP1 and SP3 to be slow and ME is just too old to be realistic tho it runs quick.

  • sick i have 1 2 but it has no hardrive and mine is windows ME lol i want to upgrade it 2 vista if i get a hardrive 4 it but i wont be able to do vista maybe xp but i

    HATE xp

  • This video was much more informative than "johnsbigfarm" GPS video I just watched. Like somebody that stupid could use a GPS.
