While discussions continue over the possible nomination of Senator Hillary Clinton as the next Secretary of State, President-elect Obamas transition team announced Wednesday that Tom Daschle, the former Senate Democratic leader, will be named secretary of health and human services.

As speculations abound over who President-Elect Obama will name to key cabinet positions we look at some of the central figures advising Obama, many of whom are leading candidates for posts in the next administration.

The website Politico reported last week that 31 out of 47 people named so far to transition or staff posts have ties to the Clinton administration. Today we host a discussion on what this means for Obamas mandate for change.

Jeremy Scahill, ward-winning investigative journalist, Democracy Now! correspondent, and author of the international bestseller: Blackwater: The Rise of the Worlds Most Powerful Mercenary Army." • It's Ron Paul! Ron and Gary Johnson are the only way out of this insane war on the world, and police state. Blackwater was in New Orleans pushing people around like they owned them. These scumbag New World Order war mongers need ousted out of both Rockefeller parties I wish Kucinich would take Obama on in the Rockefeller Democrat party. Have a nice day! Draft Jeremy Scahill to run against Obama. He'd embarass him!
