Sonic Adventure 2 - Where's Big the Cat?

Back around the time of SA2 Glitches and Tricks 1 and 2 (early 2007), my most common request by a long shot was a video showing all the Big the Cat locations. I figured I would eventually get around to such a thing, but at the time I didn't know how I wanted to present it. Well, now I do, so over a year later, here it is.

In the Dreamcast version of the game, they snuck Big the Cat into a hiding place somewhere in most levels (not Route 101, Route 280, or Green Hill; there are 2 appearances in White Jungle for some reason; and there's one in each Cannon's Core section).

These appearances were invariably axed from the GameCube version, as the opening explains, so don't expect to find Big in any levels on that system. In some levels you can find a ring in place of Big (and I even go so far as to explain which ones, for your convenience!) and yes, you can still find Big in cutscenes on either system, but this video isn't about those appearances and I don't care.

Usually, the run up to Big will be shown from the previous checkpoint, unless I deem that too close or too far away to be interesting or see much of what's going on, in which case I pick any old spot that works for showing a decent amount of action up to the encounter.

Some Bigs are harder to get a clear shot of than others. Sky Rail is a notorious offender on this charge, but in other levels like Sand Ocean and Meteor Herd, I'm able to get shots from both the "intended" perspective and an "up close" perspective.

And all these Bigs can be yours for just 15 minutes of your time! Let's see, that's...thirty-four 600-pound cats, so 1360 pounds a minute...which is US$2355 a minute (at the time of this posting), which is over a billion dollars a year! With enough viewers, we'll have completely made up for that bailout package in no time! (Not really, but it's nice to think about.)

Okay, here's the deal, so you don't have to scroll back some 40 pages in the comments:

"Useful" is defined in the context of setting Best Ring totals. There are some Big-replacement rings that you can get on GC but only by jumping into a pit and dying, and some that you can only get if you use checkpoint rewards to get a lightning shield, when you could have used the checkpoint to get more rings.

Anything you can obtain without falling afoul of either of those traps counts as "useful" here.

@SadisticMystic I think you should know that in the Dark story, where you are shadow fighting sonic on prison island, there is a sewer grate off to the side, under it is another big. No it is not a ring. hell the grate isn't even THERE in SA2B.
