Red Heroine accompanied by The Devil Music Ensemble

The Strand Theatre in Rockland, we'll be hosting our third annual autumn performance by the inimitable Devil Music Ensemble, the three-man sound machine that provides inspiring, custom-made scores for some of the most magical movies of the silent era. We hope you'll be as excited as we are at the Kung Fu theme: the rare Chinese film Red Heroine (1929). In fact, it's the last surviving episode of a popular serial made at the height of the martial arts craze in 1920s Shanghai.
