Skynyrd Bassist Ean Evans. This is a song he wrote, sang, played guitar and bass on, its off his solo album "Noon" If you listen to the lyrics u can understand who Ean really is.

When Leon Wilkeson passed away, i knew that whoever steps in Leon's shoes would never compare to him. But when i heard that Ean was, I knew that Leon would of wanted his Friend Ean to step in. Evans actualy had Leon's Blessing to take over if anything was to happen to him. I had the honor tp talk with Ean at a concert several years ago,and He really is a great person, he could talk to you about anything. He Makes us the fans feel like we are the celebrities! Ean is such a great musician too,the songs he writes are unbelievable.

Recently Ean Evans felt ill and is still recovering in the hospital, if anyone is to beat this illness,Ean Can! He has the strength and power of prayer to continue.

I hope he can beat this real soon, and he can be back on the road soon! Get Well Ean!

Heres a video i made of Ean Evans, i just want people to know that he's part of our family ,and the Lynyrd Skynyrd family too.

  • Today would have been his 50th Birthday! Happy Birthday Brother!

  • @LynSkyn1981 Wayne (Ean) and I actually grew up together but I lost touch with him over the years. We played in several little garage bands together as kids. Basically, I gave up on the music but he was the most determined person I ever met and obviously never gave up. Even back then he was a genius on so many levels! Unfortunately, I only recently found out about his death and the news is quite devastating. Do you know if copies of the "NOON" CD are still available somewhere?

  • @MrMikeVinson this album is rare to find, but you may be able to find a copy on Ebay sometime. Ean has recorded over 180 songs that havnt been released yet, but thoes recordings are in a safe place!

Thats great you knew him, i met him a few times and i still keep in touch with his family. They are a great bunch of people. I was happy that Ean got the spot in Skynyrd, he worked his ass off all his life to finally make it big, and he achieved that goal!

  • Happy Birthday Ean! We Miss You alot!

  • Every day passes, and i still can't get over the fact that Ean has passed away. I miss You so much Ean, you were the greatest! i am sure you are looking down on Skynyrd and giving them 2 thumbs up! I can't wait to meet you in heaven, when i pass! Me and the rest of Skynyrd Nation miss you

  • I've known Ean since I was 6 yrs. of age .I worked with him in several bands,I was his bass tech/body guard/all around what ever he needed kind of guy,but most of all he was my best friend.I miss him on a daily basis. And one day ,I know that he's waiting on me to bring him his bass in the dressing room upstairs. Those who know me know I'm speaking the truth,Rest In Peace my friend...........

  • my dad used to be friends with Rick Craig, the lead guitarist on this when he was in his former band Halloween, out of Detroit. He played with them until 1988. I must say that rick and ean have made perhaps my favorite album of all time and it is a shame that it is virtually unheard of, somewhat of what happened to halloween when Rick was still with them. It was real sad when Ean passed away. Such a great creative force here. R.I.P

  • I was lucky enough to get to know Ean a couple of years before he passed. He was a really kind and gentle person. He always had a pick or two he would give me to give to my son. He was always happy and smiling and treated everyone as if he had known them all his life. I was at the Missippi Kid Festival and got see Ean for his last performance, and the guitar I won (signed by all the artist) will always be a special treasure to me.

  • @MrMikeVinson
