Seems we need to come up with another alerting system to alert communities of missing children since so many requirements must be met before an "Amber Alert" is issued. It must be so frustrating and maddening for these parents when they are told #1, 2 and 3 must be factors before we can alert the community of your missing child. So sad!

I can understand why certain criteria has to be met for an Amber Alert. There are so many teenagers 13-17 that take off and runaway that there isn't enough billboards in the nation to cover them all.

It's very important for the families to get flyers out immediatly with the picture of the child to the local area.

What is most important is parent(s) to get off their butts and take care of their children properly. This will cut down on the missing chidren tremendously.

Hey Sierra My prayers and thoughts go out to this little girl and her family . I think they need to research the AMBER Alert some more and add certain guide lines to this great service that our advocates and law makers have worked so hard for and take this great service a bit farther because there is allways room fot improvement in any organization and service when it comes to our children ? God bless you Lindsey we are thinking of you .

When it comes to our children, it is the parents that need to have improvement in their parenting skills. If Lindsey's mother drove down or walk down to get Lindsey, Lindsey would be home safely.

There are so many children that runaway from home that there isn't enough room on bulletin boards across this nation to cover all of them.

With the Amber Alert they need a description of the person who took the child, the car and of course the child.

A half mile?! Who lets ANY child walk a half mile by themselves at 9:30pm? And now the mother wants to whine and cry all over the news. She's the one to blame. Wow!

I don't know why anyone else didn't witness it, or didn't even get a plate number on the truck, Or even knows what the person lookslike, and I think that Someone must've seen something or heard something from someone.

It's unthinkable to let the little girl of that age to walk home alone. How could her friend's family do that ?, why didnt they tell her to pick up phone to ring her mum?

But even if she didn't kill her, she is still a piece of crap for not protecting her child.
