@vagabonjb007 Hey bro sorry for the later reply haha out overseas for holiday haha. Wow never heard of that vietnamese art before, just asking thoguh is it fancy? like does it has flips high jump kicks etc? or is it more mantis, crane fist? Coz i have never heard or seen that theiu lam art before haha. Yea i have to say viet arts are very pratical indeed. You should tr wing chun its good, helps you get fast hands and its super practical haha. So yea thx. Im from singapore you?
@MechPhantom I practice Thieu lam quyen ( vietnamese translation for shaolin quan) , the southern shaolin temple style, wich left china a long time ago for vietnam, ! and i also practice Sanda too . Vietnamese style are really traditional ( but modern style like vovinam) they are like south china style (hun gar wing chun...) Wing chun is good i never tied but i have to ;) Where are you from bro ?
@vagabonjb007 damn ur smart as hell :D ! So true !! yea i notice most northern styles, if not all are mostly for performances, southenr styles are the real deal and practicality which mostly focuses on simple, realistic fighting methods etc unlike northern styles. Im currently doing sanda and just started wing chun ( an awesome southern kung fu style) and i love it very much ahha. Btw ur english is very good , better than me actually ahah, So what styles do you do ? xD
@MechPhantom yes , totally agree with you, i like northern style but the reals ancestrals techniques and the real fighting efficiency still in south I suppose you practice a southern style , do you ? What kung fu style do you practice? sorry but my english isnt very good ;)
@vagabonjb007 ahha yea man real shaolin basically died out yeas ago, now ALL of them are mostly just modern wushu sadly =(. But i have to say sounthern shaolin style are still very very pratical such as wing chun ,hung gar and choi li fur, not to mention xing yi quan too. But most shaolin just arnt practical nowadays. They now only use sanda for fighting nothing else. But too they learn the forms, but not the application behind it. thx for the reply bro see you =).
@MechPhantom A modern style : yes , wushu: no you don't know the difference. This form is an exhibition form, they have another form more traditional, but the real shaolin style leave the china a long time ago . Other styles from shaolin still in south of china, and rarely or family style still learned in all over the world, in and out china. Nobody said that form was the real shaolin style from Ming's period. Open your mind , read, and understand instead of talking badly about nothing...
