this by far is my all time favorite games i still have my copy and still play it on the n.e.s. i wish it got the same amount of hype as mario,or zelda its way over due

@GsLucky Yeah I remember not getting any further then the waterfall cavern when I was little. Its so strange and surreal seeing someone stried through all those dead ends like nothing happened!

Fuck.... I regret having thrown this game out my window when I was 10 years old XD; As a literate RPier that I am, plus the type that now enjoys puzzle games, I find this quite entertaining. Back then, I was all to kick ass and take names... and this was so SLOW to me, and I remember going back and forth THIS specific room (which song has FOREVER haunted me) and not finding how to go on. I WILL get this game and finish it when I have the chance!

I played the NES version a lot as a kid, it's one of my favourite games of all time - But I never knew about stabbing the Cyclops with the sword when he's down. Learn something new everyday!

I love all the things you can get and do in this game. You can jump out of windows, kill yourself in many ways, the books have background history in the world, and a lot of the bottles have poison in them. It is a great game I wish they'd make it again, or I'll have to go out and find it atleast for the GBC... I do have the NES cartridge still.....

I traded this game to Gamestop a while back to make room for gamecube games. Now that I've moved onto Xbox360, I'm just now remembering how freaky yet fun this game was. The Sphinx was scary shit as well as the babe that turns into a monster.

what mean sound of 1:30-1:45? (never play shadowgate :P)

That is a warning sound the game gives you when your torch is burning low so you know when to light another one. If you notice before that, the torch's flame had shrunk from its full size.
