@ccie12933 A year or two ago the "Tiger Conway Jr. was Bota" rumors got going, but they're false. Bota was in Memphis while Tiger was in Florida in mid 1985 and too many dates conflict for it to have been the same guy. Plus Tiger is visibly taller than Bota.

I remember seeing the name Bota in the Memphis ratings, in the old Apter mags. Never saw a picture of him or read a story on him, though. I imagined him as a jungle savage, which I guess he kinda was...but I imagined him much bigger & heavier like Kamala.
Thanks for posting the video!

In my opinion, Bota has the wrestling style or ring skills of Jimmy Snuka, but the face paint of the Missing Link.

The heck with Bota. Lance Russell for the win.

Wow, that IS Tiger Conway Jr! Looks like he discovered another side of himself after leaving Crockett Promotions. Hopefully it paid better. :)

Love Bota. Would vote for him as President.
Would also rather watch him fight Lawler, Dutch Mantel or Dr. Tom Prichard any day.

I remember Tiger Conway as a mid carder in the Mid-Atlantic promotion in the 70's. He and paul Jones held the Mid-Atlantic tag belts at one time.

I always loved the wild men, savage, barbarian gimmicks in wrestling.
