Rob tries to get a date in 1986

In the summer of 1986 I saw an ad in the paper saying that the classic TV game show The Dating Game was coming back and looking for contestants. I jumped at the chance and tried out for the show. Dig my 80's hair and also make sure to enjoy the commercial in the middle.

I don't recall Lange standing next to the three bachelors/bachelorettes before. Elaine and Jeff Macgregor had more in-game interplay than Lange. I don't remember much about the 90s Brad Sherwood(which didn't play like the classic version) or Chuck Woolery version(which played like the classic version)

@zachhoran To be honest, I didn't like the way Elaine Joyce hosted this show, but perhaps some of it was due to decisions made by the producers. Beside being a little annoying to me, Elaine made a confusing comment after I answered the last question, saying "did he growl again?" But it was a different bachelor who growled earlier, and you'll see when it comes time to make her selection, the bachelorette had no clue who was who. The host of the show should not be mixing up the contestant!
