Spontaneous Dance Party on the ferry

On Sunday October 3rd, 2010, a spontaneous dance party broke out on the ferry from Salt Spring Island to Victoria. Cyclists, drivers, and walk-on passengers join in. BC Ferries staff cheered us on and the captain waved to us from the bridge.

This video is dedicated to people who make the world a better place -- Justin, Celina, Tom and Gary -- and to the porpoises who swam alongside the ferry as we danced into the sunset.

The music came from the sound system on my electric bike. It started when somebody saw the speakers and asked if I have a good dance mix. The people on that ferry were *fantastic*; I wish I could reconnect with them.

@TheELeMental lol.......no i haven't because just like you said, the song is pretty wack!! but just from listening to the song, i didnt hear anything like that. i was just stating that even if the song doesnt have the greatest of lyrics, it still brings about a positive. You can't tell me that those happy people on the ferry aren't doing the world some good by showing how much fun it can be!!!

Hey buds, I happen to be that fellow that request the dance mix! Thanks a ton for posting this up here! Most of us I believe call Victoria home for now... I may start a facebook group to try to connect all the people involved and start to create a bigger network for future events, parties, fundraisers. Thanks for being part of this... all of you.
