HO'OKIPA 2004

I made this video one day mostly to show the location. This is the famous surfing spot on Maui's North Shore known as Ho'okipa. The rolling surf and the beautiful backdrop of the West Maui Mountains beyond Kahului and Wailuku Town make this a fun place to watch the surfers -if you don't surf. On this particular day, airplanes are seen coming in from the north. Usually they come from the southwest, and take off to the north, but on this day it's different, probably because of the winds, which are making rainbows in the sea-spray in this video.
