I made this 2-part video as a dedication to a kid I met at a Best Buy's Pikmin Wii demo stand when getting Pikmin Wii, on the evening of March 17, 2009. I'm not certain on his intelligence, but he was certainly a refreshing change from typical people within the Hyphy Movement, the San Francisco Bay Area residents who prove that it doesn't deserve to be called the "Yay Area", the shallow girls who would say "wanna suck my pee" just to mock me, and the Oakland rioters. I had a little play session with him before he had to leave with his parent.
Anyway, this is pretty much just a beginner's guide video. I honestly wasn't going for killing both Spotty Bulborbs without casualties--and they were both my 2nd and 3rd fights against them with the Wiichucks, the first being during the play session with the kid. That was some luck involved, though I know now to make sure they only use their shake attacks by spam-throwing Pikmin when they attack. At least, I'm pretty sure they'll react to heavy damage taken by shaking. Of course, I end up losing a Yellow Pikmin to nightfall when it straggled and I couldn't get it to follow me in time.
The controls are kind of what you'd expect from the Wiimote usage: they may require a steady hand to prevent messy movement, in this case poorly thrown Pikmin. However, it is a lot easier to throw Pikmin wherever you want, maneuver them, or call them from far away. The main issue, of course, besides the lack of GameCube controller support, is the positioning of directing (Down on the D-Pad with the 'mote aimed in the desired direction) and throwing (A); both of them may be difficult to handle simultaneously.
Still, Pikmin 3 should be fun. And remember: PEACH CAN'T BEAT OLIMAR!
I have the original for gamecube.
