Flying buddy of mine Brian helps me set the mixture on the Venture CP .30 helicopter. This is the first time I take this helicopter out to fly it.

  • Great videos, thanks for posting them. I have a Venture 30 with an OS 32 and the same transmitter as you. I did the same thing you did on this video on 8-14-09. I wish I watched these first. I thought I was the only one who was killing the engine at full throttle. Would you mind sharing your throttle curve and picth curve with me. I haven't figured mine out perfect yet and your looks very close as I watch your third video.

    Thanks,

    Bill P.

  • Thx. The biggest thing I learned to get the engine running right is to get the mixture on the engine set right. This is done by adjusting the needle valve on the engine. I assume you already did this.

As for my Pitch/Throttle this is what I have. I still need to tweak them I think.

    Pitch: 40-45-50-75-100

    Throttle: 17-50-75-90-100

That is for normal mode, for Idle up mode I use

    Pitch: 0-25-50-75-100

    Throttle: 100-90-85-90-100

I like flying in idle up even if I'm not yet doing crazy 3d
