Have you got any more information about that? I remember in the 80s my dad read in one of the papers that an internaional wrestler decided to change the story and refused to lay down for daddy and shot on him for real. The article said that Crabtree had swept the incident under the rug and pulled it from british tv

Big D was definitely one of the all time greatest characters in UK wrestling during the 70's and early 80's. Night after night he could take it as well as give it out inside the ring. RIP Shirley Crabtree.

Big daddy was the best i remember seeing him at the kelvin hall he was fantastic and i got to walk with him and the crowd to the ring he was really friendly to us all Rip big man
