One Sunday in June I heard singing coming from the main path in my village in Katete, Zambia. I walked out to see what was going on, and this video shows what I found. It's a little shaky at first but bear with it. The singing was coming from a large procession of people walking to the Catholic Church for the monthly mass with the priest. They are singing "Tiyeni, tikalandile Yesu" ("come, let's receive Jesus").
Thanks for this - I notice how the people wear their finest clothes and the men dressed in black dress pants and white shirts. Unlike typical Americans who go to mass in shorts, sloppy torn jeans and do not condescend to show the least respect for what they say they believe in.
