President Barack Obama attended a Sunday meeting of Senate Democrats as debate on health care reform continued through the weekend. Majority Leader Harry Reid provided an update today on the Senate's progress. He thanked the president for his cooperation and expressed disappointment in Republicans' lack of bipartisanship. Reid summarized the president's message at the meeting: "People are going to look back at what this Congress did. Each time they see a child being able to go to the doctor when they're sick or hurt... Seeing someone that, just because they lose their job, doesn't mean they lose their insurance. That's what this legislation is all about."
