@AsphyxiationXo You should start your own band-- YOU can be the band for kids who live for this music.

I taught my wee brother the singing title in 87. He was 5...

@punkmusicmetal Post hardcore is shit. Music for posers
-
The Damned is awesome!
i wish i had lived in those days

@rp61wasinnocentok You guys don't look hard enough. There are plenty of bands. They don't have to be punk rock to be good. Dance Gavin Dance, Rx Bandits, Glassjaw, Mars Volta, At the Drive In, The Blood Brothers, Lifetime, Tool, NIN, Rage Against the Machine, just to name a few. Mostly in hardcore/post-hardcore, which is this generation';s punk, and derived from punk.

So glad the damned are still around and inspiring generations after them.... me being one of them, a 21 year old who considers this to be at the same level as debussy or bach, the only difference is i was actually able to see them two weeks ago play all the songs that changed my life. I am a damned fan in a world that thinks this music is dead but they are going strong!

Don't be worried about bands of today, let them continue to be rubbish. Real people know the difference between phony and genuine music, and the bands/artistes who produce it.
I know exactly what you mean though, it's sickening the amount of polished & manufactured crap that the sheep mentality go for, the end result sadly means the loss of true talent.
There are some great bands that come & go, but since the loss of the great John Peel, they're becoming harder to come across or find.

I suppose I could be clever and say that was a misprint on the sleeve at the time, and funds wouldn't allow for a reprint. But something tells me you wouldn't fall for that.
Alright pal, how's it goin' dude?
lol! Noticed your comment 2 down the other day, it was indeed much worse but you always knew where you stood :)

doin fine man!! ...yeah deffo worse then. Remember seeing the Damned at Ncle Mayfair and one guy being sick over the balcony onto his mate who was dancing below. His mate was so blitzed he just carried on dancing covered in chunks and slipping on the slime!! ..can't buy memories like that! ha ha!!

Class! XD
With everything that was happening around this time, it makes you kinda pity the young people of today with most of the shit that's hurled at them. Ours was one of the best periods when it came to music and something new happening in the world. It was inevitable it would be prized and influential for generations to come.
