Feel your horse, know your horse thoroughly. Learn about horses' characters. Fantastic horses explained and described. http://www.hempfling.com/ - How well do you know your own horse; can you really say he reveals all of himself to you? At the heart of the work of Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling is the precise recognition of a horse's nature in only a few seconds, followed by his transformation within minutes of the first encounter.

In order to make this transperant, he created his unique system of horse characterization with its 26 individual characters. In this system it is all about the 'outer and inner' characteristics of the horse and its behaviour. It is about the fundamental understanding of the horse's nature, about coming together and communication.

In Klaus' book 'What Horses reveal' (J.A.Allen, UK/Trafalgar Square, USA) you may find a detailed description of all the 26 characters and the related working strategies. You may also find further information about the issue on his web-site: www.hempfling.com. If you would like to know which characters are represented in your horse, Klaus offers Horsecharacterization by phone.

About Klaus' work there are several other videoclips presented on YouTube - please have a look at the favorites on our channel nature2promotion.

The following text is from the web-site www.hempfling.com:

Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling, with his professional background in communications has shaken up the international horse world. He is at the forefront of new ideas on working and interacting with horses. The basis of his work is consideration for the horse's psyche, communication via a body language that is understood by the horse and interaction with these powerful, beautiful, dignified creatures in accordance with nature. The development of the rider's "presence" and an orientation to holistic principles is integral to this work. Klaus' first book, "Dancing with Horses" (translated into more than 10 languages), met with overwhelming international success; thousands of spectators have witnessed a way of interacting with horses that made the horses the teachers, the bearers of mysteries, whose proximity could transform human lives.

Klaus has the ability to "know" a horse within a few seconds and within a few minutes of the first meeting, he establishes a relationship so firmly that anything after that is completely based on trust. In his Borderline Demonstrations he transforms dangerous, nervous, traumatized, any kind of horse into cooperative companions. They recognize him as their leader, and become willing partners in groundwork and under saddle.

This video describes important parts of the horse therapist Klaus Ferdinand Hempflings work. For a better and correct understanding and to avoid misunderstandings, it is helpful to connect this video with his background, added in the following:
Klaus lived with wild horses in wilderness to observe their animal language and natural horse behaviour. In the beauty of this nature he developed his principals of the first encounter of human and horse.
Genetic changing in breeding, horse characters and horse types are also important topics in KFHs repertoire, which Hempfling employs with all horses (What Horses Reveal). You will often find him with horses of baroque breeds like Lusitano horses (Alter Real), PRE, Lipizzan horses, Knabstrup and Friesian horses but he is also very attached to the natural horse types like Arabian, Criollo, Welsh, Welsh Cob, Haflinger, Icelandic and Connemara.
His approach is valid for all horses and every horse enthusiast and lover may feel at home in these authentic basics of equitation and equus. In his courses therefore also riders and breeders from totally different styles may learn how to gain the friendship of their horses, often associated with breeds like Quarter, Thoroughbred, Pinto, Appaloosa, Mustang, Irish Cob, Paso Fino, Saddlebred and other horse types.
One may say that he is meanwhile one of the leading names in the issue animal and especially horse welfare and horse passion and love, as well as horses in wildlife, roots in nature and animal communication. The German TV programme called him one of the most important horse whisperer of the world.
Hempflings professional background is in the fields communication, art, theatre, music, study of native people and cultures. He lives on a small island in the Danish Archipelago where he conducts exclusive courses for people from all corners of the world.

  • My mare is the used one :) it even looks a bit like her.

  • my pony is the gypsy!!! tanks 4 the video :)

  • ..... WOW I completly take back my other comment, my horse is DEFINITELY The Gypsy!!

  • i have a half used one :)

bred for racing, failed at that,

he is always, as i see him, happy, i think you mean a person may awaken his primal source and he becomes strong etc, i have done that, showjumping, he loves it, very confident with it, and he is very reliable in it as well. though he's never had a beginer on him before, and him being only 4 and he often bucks, im not about to put one on :) and the gypsie is so my arabian! :D

  • I think what Klaus is doind is amazing and the only true way to having a relationship of relevance with your horse, I wish I could learn from him directly eventhough I don't think I have the physical and mental stamina, I would be a most willing student, my little mare sounds like a Child/Dandy mix. But I am no expert at this. I still think she has another character, or perhaps one of the remaining six would describe her better can't wait for more...

  • I'ce watched all of these videoes, and they're really good. My icelandic horse is definetely a Sergeant/gypsy mix.

  • think I ve found my two horses here, one is definitely the Gyspsy, and the other is the frog... :)

  • heel mooi!

    rita

  • Sigh, my boy is a "used one". You are so correct, he is a very reliable partner! I have his heart and he has mine :-)

  • more fabulous insights and a really lovely video.

    Thank you for sharing :-)
