From the big screen to Meals on Wheels - A REAL Volunteer Story

No, hes not a movie star. But for many people right here in Michiana, Rudy Kuzmits is bigger than life. As a volunteer delivery driver for Meals on Wheels, Rudy provides hot, nutritious meals to seniors who cant get to the grocery store or cook for themselves.

Most people dont know what its like to be homebound, said Rudy. Little things like going to the grocery store become the most important things of all. You have to eat to live.

So what does delivering meals have to do with the big screen? Well, like most parents, Rudy wants to give his children something that will always remind them of him. Now he has.

Back in 1993, a film crew arrived on the Notre Dame campus to produce a major Hollywood motion picture. Rudy Kuzmits was on the set. Sixteen years later, Rudy's commitment to deliver hot meals to seniors in Michiana has given him a chance to commemorate his big screen experience for his children on the "little" screen.
