This time progression video shows the renovation of a modern styled kitchen, as part of a whole house renovation we recently completed in the neighborhood of Arden in Indianapolis. The mid-century modern house received a new Valcucine Italian kitchen, with a block stainless steel counter. These are true frame-less European cabinets with a white lacquer finish. • I loved the before - too bad it couldn't have just been updated & lightened up a bit to keep the integrity of mid-century design.

  • @traderb6 Unfortunately, very seldom do we find the houses we work on untouched since their construction. Much of this house had been changed over the years so its "integrity" from a MCM sense was in many ways long gone. From the designer, Matt Harris: " the design goal was to be not only sympathetic to the original design ideas, but also current and respect the client's design sense. While not a slave to the original, it certainly was respectful."

  • I actually like the "before". It had the mid century modern look.
