2001 Camaro SS after cold start

Quick video of the noises coming out of my 01 SS after a cold start. The noise goes away after a few minutes of the engine running.
Some say rod, others say piston slap. The car is still lots of fun to drive so I'm driving it. lol

I have an 01 ss does the same thing until it hits operating temp...my guess is piston slap as well but I think the sound goes away bc the pistons expand as the engine heats up diminishing the sound a bit...that's my theory LOL

@jar3yna361 that's the theory of the piston slap but not only the pistons expand as the engine heats up, everything else does as well. The fact that oil pressure is very high and that there is no noise under load once it warms up are reasons enough for me to think that the bearings and crankshaft are fine.

That's definitely piston slap. My 2000 SS makes the exact same noise...goes away after it warms up. Nothing to really fret about.

believe it or not it is better if the sound is constant which might lead you to believe piston slap but since it goes away when the car warms up that suggest it is something in the bottom end and the rods are most likely the case.
