  • BATON ROUGE, La. -- Gov. Bobby Jindal's administration intends to tap into at least $2.4 billion of Louisiana's share of the federal stimulus package to help balance the state's budget over the next two years.

Jindal's top budget adviser, Commissioner of Administration Angele Davis, outlined the administration's stance in a presentation to the Legislature's joint budget committee.

  • The religious conservatives went to the Republican Party and said, We can work together. You guys can have political power whilst we have the power of the Dark Ages; do we have a deal? The Republican Party said, Deal! But with this deal and with this mixing of politics and religion, a new beast has emerged; a beast that is neither religion nor politics but a repulsive combination of the two. The beast hides behind a curtain and dangles puppets like Sarah Palin and Bobby Jindal on strings.

  • republicans suck

  • wonder if kenneth has exorcism as well?

  • He is a fake....will change colors like a chameleon

  • Bobby Jindal is a fake,he has changed his religion,he says he does not remember his roots, what is the gaurantee he wont do it again. John McCain talked about his grandfather and his father's service to the country during his campaign. But Mr. Jindal has conviniently forgotten his roots, why? Just to conform to the Republican party's idea of Obama's perfect opponent? I hope the republicans can do better than him.

  • OH SNAP!! IT'S TRUE!!!

  • I want to see times like the French Revolution, off with the GOPs heads and Limbaugh to the front of the line.

  • That's a very good point, ThatguyNice, but it seems this sort of personal narrative IS the Republican counter-position, in the absence of any actual ideas, policies or plans.

See, he was hitting all the typical notes of the usual GOP "self-made man" fantasy, and the message was pretty implicitly that "we don't need no gubmint handouts, we just gotta work hard an' pull up our bootstraps!"

Of course, the GOP conveniently ignores the infrastructure govt. provides to give you that chance...
