It looks to me like it is a Grumman C-1 Trader Carrier Onboard Delivery aircraft.
Great job by the Navy Pilot who held his mug through that drenching, and came out straight and level!

@exenrontexas - Are you sure? It looks like a Grumman Tracker to me (the Royal Australian Navy used to fly them off the deck of HMAS Melbourne).

I think that is the Ticonderoga and Essex class attack carrier. The plane is an E1-B or COD (carrier onboard delivery) used to shuttle people, parts and mail.
