Try meet up groups. My local Center of Inquiry has a group call Perplexed Parents where we discuss raising non-superstitiou,s critical thinking, caring kids We go on field trips to the planetariums, nature preserves etc. I live near DC so there are lots of options here.

As a non-believer, how do you raise your children to be free thinkers in a very religious town?

Now that your views have changed, what is your personal dream of a utopia? Nevermind if everyone else gets screwed in this fantasy or not. With no more fear of not getting into heaven, what would your view of a "heaven on earth" be like?
-
What was the first thing that made you question your beliefs? Or the first significant thing that you remember. How long did you go before you finally admitted to yourself that you had abandoned your beliefs? To the first person you told?
-
What is your personal political party and/or beliefs regarding hot button political issues?

lmao good one. lol
man this sucks. i had to send my computer away for a week for a manufacturing defect and i missed so much youtube sub-shit. so i didnt watch your answers yet. but i wanted to know: despite the fact that there is no logical reason to believe in hell, is there still that .000000001% lingering thought, of "oh shit, if im wrong, im screwed?"

There was at first, but at this point no. Once I understood where the hell doctrine came from, and how simple a trick it is, and also how those who threaten it know nothing about it....it became pretty easy to just dismiss it outright. No miniscule percentage at all. But I know of many atheists who do have that in the back of their minds.

Thanks Dan. It's actually from a demo recording of a guitar duo project I had about 5 years ago.
