consider adding some other supplements that are beneficial to your skin like MSM, BIOTIN, B-complex, omega 3, and vitamin c for starters........Magnesium and MSM would make a GREAT Christmas present to keep from getting food particles in one of those pouches!
Most likely this is caused by a lack of magnesium in the diet.....Green leafy vegetables contain magnesium along with nuts,etc..
To make sure you don't get another piece of food lodged in one of those pouches that causes diverticulitis, you need to make sure your stool is moving fast and watery so you need a bowel movement every day. TO DO THIS, add 500 mg to 750mg of magnesium daily. If your stool is too watery, then decrease the magnesium until you're comfortable.
I am 55 and just under went 2 ft of colon removal due to diverticulitis. I have a colostomy bag to be reversed in 6 months. I thought I had an impaction but, instead it was inflammation. I had been under the care of 4 doctors with anti-inflammatories for joint pain. I believe it was the drugs that ate through the colon and caused the inflammation....Has anyone else had this problem?
I'm only 24 and I had to go to urgent care last Monday because my left side was hurting me so badly. He told me he thought it was diverticulitis, but he called it an infection, not a disease. Now that I've been doing some research I'm really scared! Any advice?
Ive had it myself and the pain was like someone sticking a dull butter knife inside your gut and twisting it. Ended up having surgery and wearing a shitbag until the next surgery which put everything back together. after the surgery I felt as if I had been hit by a train .
@debz12180 I know what you mean. I'm a combat veteran, and have a high tolerance for pain, so I thought... This disease is just devastating when the symptoms flare up. I was in so much pain, I was floating in and out of consciousness and throwing up every 15 minutes. I couldn't even drink water, my body wouldn't take it.
