2009 Soccer Hall of Fame Inductees Meet and Greet at BMO Field in the Press Conference Room followed by pre-game introduction to Toronto FC fans. The inductees are John Limniatis , formerly of the Montreal Impact and Canadian Mens National Team; Mike Stojanovic of the NASL Rochester Lancers and the Canadian Mens National Team; Neil Ellett, former Mens National Team Captain; Joan McEachern, of the Canadian Womens Team; Bob Sawtell , former FIFA Referee; Derek Wisdom , New Brunswicks Mr. Soccer; and Colin Jose, the pre-eminent authority of soccer in North America . The 2009 winner of the Pioneer Award is Ted Slade, a minor soccer aficionado over his 60 years of service to soccer in Ontario. The Team of Distinction is the Mens National Team of 1986, the first and only Canadian team to date to qualify for the World Cup . In attendance were Bob Lenarduzzi, Les Wilson, Jamie Lowery, Paul James, Randy Ragan, George Pakos, Mike Sweeney, Joe Parolini, Dr. Ed Johnson, and Kevin Muldoon.
