I just got a Clearaudio turntable and the guy I got it from said you should NEVER use liquid cleaners on vinyl unless you have a machine to vacuum it off.

as a dj i deep clean my vinyls with wood glue and for a quick clean i use a mixture of isopropyl and distilled water, however i will say this, if your ever in the mix with a dirty 12inch and you hear that the high end is starting to dissipear giving the record a few soft squirts of glass cleaner will make it sound crystal clear thus not ruining your mix, you will need to brush the stylus after tho and leave the record out for atleast 20 mins after to properlly dry

this is for better thought design in compard to the spin clean device sold here in the u.s , that just uses distilled water and a fluid that is not a cleaner but just couses the dirt to fall to the bottem of the device and dose not protect the lable i just found a source of the anti -stat here in the usa

@MarkPMus coffee filters are sadly fast saturated with the dirt. the fluid keeps on standing forever in the filter then. this is my own result of trying.

@MarkPMus I don't use the Knosti fluid, I use L'art Du Son, much better results :)
Specifically, what sort of filters are best to use when the Knosti ones are ruined ? I bought some coffee filters paper but I have found it to not work so well.

@ste1200 I use coffee filters. Not exactly brilliant, as you say. Knosti give a couple with each bottle of fluid but that is an expensive way to get them!

Could 100% Isopropanyl be used?

@GanEdenAustralia Not sure, but Aslan.com's fluid is less Isopropyl, and more of whatever else he puts in it. This increases time records take to dry, but he doesn't want potential ciustomers smelling it and thinking they can get the same results with ordinary Isopropyl!

Hi Mark, just one question if yo have the time: When you're filtering the solution back into the bottle, it looks like the nozzle of the bottle for the liquid to go back in through is really narrow, but the opening is pretty wide....how does that all work? Does the area around the nozzle have to fill up before anything flows back through the nozzle? Thanks again, D

@dewulf2 Yes, filtering it back through the nozzle can be a bit tedious. I got some coffee filters and cut them to size because the ones that came with the antistat finally got so filthy even though I washed them out lots of times.
