Probably by accident. I ripped it off too in part of a song my band had back in 1985. When I heard Papa Roach I thought "Hey that's my riff". I didn't even make the Ghengis Khan connection until seeing this video and Maiden was my FAVORITE BAND! LOL. I mean, I bought Killers the first week it came out.
