That isn't to say that this is a bad sound, it's fine. It's really insulting that he basically insults both his band and his fans for liking anything before CoR&R. I'm a fan of their post-hardcore albums because it's simply a matter of my opinion, and I don't mind their glam-rock stuff, but to hear that they basically are trying to distance themselves from what really built a solid fanbase is kind of sad, y'know?

Neither of their first albums were grunge, they were post-hardcore, and this is not heavy metal pop, it's glam rock/pop rock. And I think they're only going to produce glam rock until the inevitable end of the band, they are having a lot of problems catering to Eric's personality. There's a lot written about it, actually. He's always wanted to be a glam rock band, and they've lost like 8 band members from Flamingo Trigger to CoR&R.
