Nirvana, Pixes, Wipers, Joy Divison, The Vaselines, old Weezer, Fugazi, Minor Threat etc. were excellent bands from the 70s to 90s. Today we have The National, The Shins, Arcade Fire, Interpol etc. - good music exists everywhere, it's just hard to find through the pop so stop complaining about WHEN you found it, just be happy you're not listening to Ke$ha and thinking that she creates "music".

I used to think the chorus was, "I - I- I'm hanging on!" and it used to give me so much happiness and motivation during tuff times, but it fuck'in turns out to be "i'm hanging out" (how trivial). Oh well, in my mind it's gonna be "I'm hanging on."
