If your a do-it-yourselfer and you want to change your own spark plugs, here's how to do it. You can see the front plugs easy but the back ones are buried under the intake. But don't worry, you simply take the intake off. No special tools are needed, just take your time and be careful

  • Glad we could help. We'll be adding more do-it-yourselfer stuff soon.

  • @seovideo24 Not a mystery at all my friend. The CEOs tell the engineers to make it as hard and incovenient as possible for people to get in there, that way we're forced to bring the car to the dealerships... where they exchange your car for another one with same VIN and dents on the bumpers, but with a working part; all just to convince you they 'fixed' it. Your real car then is taken by slugworm aliens that turn the car into mcdonalds french fries.

And THAT is how it's done!

  • Kudos for showing us how to do this but Ford is a bunch of a-holes for making it this hard to do something that should be basic, fast and easy. Dodge does the same thing on the PT Cruiser. There's no reason for this other than to make the customer pay more for maint and discourage them from doing it themselves. BS.

  • good video

  • just curious what year escape that is

  • thats bull!@#$ that you gotta take all apart tho change the f!@#$%^& spark plugs

  • Thank you guys for this video is just awesome how ease is if you follow this steps i just save myself almost $400 bucks. My SUV is a Mazda Tribute that uses the same engine as Ford SUV so it works for Mazda SUV too.

  • Thanks for the help on this one.. I have a haynes manual that tells how, but does not go in depth on removing the intake. It reccomends replacing the gaskets once you have broken the seal.. do you agree?

  • give me your tools then I will do it by my self

  • what size socket do you use for the plugs?

  • good vid but as a safety precaution break your bolts loose first before using your air ratchet. A broken or stripped bolt may screw up your day.

  • Thank you very much for this video - I just changed the plugs in my 2005 Escape, and the video was invaluable. I used Autolite XP104 iridiums and it took me about 2 hours.
