Why don't you go and see him live then? He'll be playing near Fulda on October 1, 2011.

@Vampiro413 In the Celtic society that's what Bards were, lore masters (old myths/histories) who pass it down with songs. So "Damh the Bard" tells you that.

Thank you for posting this and your channel. I am Pagan and it really brings me peace. I like being able to enjoy my own religious music. Some of the singers are so beautiful and the words take my breath away.

Blodeuwedd was made from flowers by two wizards to be the companion of a hero, she was led astray by an man who was envious of him; Leading to his death . Therefore she was cursed never to show her face in daylight again. The name Blodeuwedd means"Flower Face."

@darkdivad Sound reasoning, yeah. I too was kinda confused about where the mortal man came in, but I don't really research myths so...

@Vampiro413 im not sure if this is blodeuwedd, I looked up the myth but it doesnt mention the home within the hill and it mentions it made birds of her kin, rather then just her. So i think it might be a different myth. Also he also has another song about blodeuwedd and he doesnt tend to repeat the same myths. the myth also doesnt mention a curse being broken by the love of a mortal man. If you find another myth about owls, please let me know. Im quite curious about this now.

Wonderful Artist
Got it. The song's about Blodeuwedd!
It's brilliant how Damh's songs get you to look up real ancient myths. What an ingenious way to transmit an all but forgotten culture in an interactive & fun manner!
